    An unexpected vaction

We have spent the week with my parents in Winter Haven. Abigail is just starting to get use to the situation. Tony and I are just waiting for the call from insurance to get the ball rolling on fixing our home and being able the move back to South Florida. We have been watching the news and calling friends and family back and forth. From this vantage point the situation south of us looks grim. The accounts of long lines for gas, food and waters is discouraging. We pray that it is all over soon. It is comforting to know that allthough this was a surprise to us it is no surprise to the Lord. He is in charge and is using this experience for our good, and his glory. In the meantime we are enjoying this unexpected vacation time.

we are praying for our friends and family who are struggling without power.

    Wilma Recovery

The eye of Hurricane Wilma swept thru our little neighborhood leaving most of us will a ton of clean up. We lost our porch and carport, and a tree branch went thru our roof like a spear, not to mention a leaking roof, and wet carpet and furniture ect. We did tons of clean up yesterday and today, a pile of debre is laying in our front yard. At this time we are unable to live in our home so we are living with my parents and will be back and forth from Winter Haven and South Florida. The Lord has been faithful to sustain us thru this storm and I am comfident will direct us thru the coming decisions and recovery effort. By the way we were not at home when the storm went thru, we were evacuated and stayed at the Gavilon's. We appreciate all your phone calls and prayers. Tony, Abby and I are doing great, we are not shaken from our faith and know that the Lord intends this for our benifit and his glory.

    Here Comes Number Two

For those of you how have not heard yet.

    WE ARE PREGNANT!!

I am about 8 weeks pregnant with our second child.

    here is what the littlest Elswick is doing;

Your embryo, now about in its sixth week of development, is about the size of a grape -- 0.56 to 0.8 inches from crown to rump. Eyelid folds and ears are forming and even the tip of the nose is visible. The arms have grown longer and bend at the elbows. Places where fingers and toes eventually will grow are becoming notched.

This pregnance is proof the Lord is in charge of our going in and coming out. Children are our heritage and means of santification. What a good god we serve.

    Mississippi

Last Friday we traveled to Mississippi. It was the first time for Tony and Abigail. Abigail did great on the plane, there and back, she got just a little fussy. We had such a great time. Saturday my dad took Tony to Shiloh Military Park. They both relive the battle and watched a live cannon demonstration. While they were doing that Abigail and I went to watch my cousins barrel race. Abigail was Randy's good luck charm she shaved a second off her time from Friday. Saturday night Lots of my family meet us at Bill and Jim's, a catfish house, Abigail was the hit of the party of course. Sunday we went to church with my parents to the Southside Baptist, the church we attended when we live there. Abigail slept in the nursery the most of the time. When I went to get her she was disappointed she didn't wake up to play with the other babies. Sunday afternoon my grandmother had a reception at her home for us and most all the extended family stop by. It was just a great time of fellowship and catching up. We missed south Florida and sure was glad to step off the plane.

Lord I believe please help my unbelief

The Lord is so faithful even when I don't believe anything is possible.

During hurricane Katrina we had a ton of roof damage. An adjuster came out and he explained it would be a month until we heard back from them. We had a company come do an estimate, the guy told us it was really bad and it will be leaking soon. All this information has harbored worry in my heart. Tony has been doing a great job of drawing me out and pointing to scripture and the Lord to help my unbelief. The Lord is good! Sunday I was really wrestling with my thoughts and wondering when the leavy was going to break and water was going to come rushing into our home. When through conversation with Tony and just remembering scripture I began to recall how the Lord has been faithful to us since we moved the South Florida. Through Tony's job, giving us our home and my pregnancy with Abigail, and countless other little things. I easily forget how the Lord is in charge and not myself and that from the foundation of the earth He knew me and our situation and He took care of it then. On Monday, we got a check from the insurance company for $200 over the estimate. He provided over and above what we needed, even while I didn't believe the check was being cut and sent to my house, so when it arrived in God's timing I could praise him for being the good God that He is.

    Thank you Lord!!

    Playing catch up

So how does everyone like my new custom page? Daffodil's are my favorite!!

Melissa and I hosted a Party Lite party this past Saturday evening. It turned out great, we got a ton of free stuff. Just can't wait until it all arrives at my door.

My parents were in town so we took them to gymboree with Abigail. Abigail just loves that place she is now going up and down the steps and her favorite is the tunnels. Some say that 90% of kids under the age of two are cloister phobic, not this little one.

Church was great on Sunday. Pastor Al and Danny ( from metro life in Orlando) are in Cuba this week. There is an update on Sunday if anyone is interested in see what is going on in the Cuban church lately.

All three of us have been a little sick the last two days but we are all feeling better today.

    love you guys!!
