what a cutie! I snapped a few pictures of Abigail today, just thought I would share them. Yes, she is standing at the window sill, and yes she pulled up all by herself. The next step will be walking. She is keeping mommy on her toes. Posted by Picasa

    My little Gymcrawler

Abigail and I have been attending Gymboree play classes since she was about four months old. She enjoys them much more now that she can craw all over the place her favories are the tunnels and slides. She also gets a kick out of terrorising all the other little kids. The classs ends with a kiss from Gymboo, Abby does want to let go she loves him so much. Tony got to join us in a saturday class last week, we had tons of fun with daddy. Abby has made a good friend in class that we have made a few play dates with. We will be starting sign language class in October, I can't wait to see her learning.

    We bypassed another

I am writing this entry on location at my brother and sister -in- law Jon and Melissa E's home. Once again we have been evacuated for another hurricane. This is the fourth time in 2 hurricane seasons that we have had to pack up everything that we hold near and dear, including the dog, and high tail it out to our family's home. Thank the Lord for you Jon and Melissa, what would we do with out you. This year with the baby our arsenal of "stuff" has multiplied. For being so little children require more stuff that I had anticipated. For this trip, which is just over night, we have the pack-n-play, the food , the cloths, the diapers, wipes and so on. As cute as she is she is worth it and more. With the hurricane moving on are once again aware that we have receive from the hand of God grace and thank him for his continued prevision.
To our family we are doing great. We had roof damage during hurricane Katherine, and are taking steps to get it fixed. There are no leaks as of yet.

    Taking Correction

Criticism and correction are two very hard pills to swallow if they are not administered when I want it or how I want it. Popular thinking allows for correction in the office but not in our personal lives and relationships. As I have pondered this over the last few months the Lord has allowed me to see that I should not only take correction graciously but that I must joyfully seek out biblical correction.

    The bottom line (for example)
Apart from the Lord, the most important relationship in my life is with my husband. Which includes how I treat and respect him. There are many "small" issues that we could go our whole lives without addressing or correcting. These issues do play a role in rubbing each other wrong and at times cause arguments and ill will towards each other.
With a spirit of correction and joyfully receiving correction these "small" issues are worked out and dealt with and our marriage relationship is the better for it. A powerful place to be in is one where you no your sin patterns and are motivated to make the choices to correct them.

I have by no means arrived in this area, far from it, it must be a conteous choice in my mind to receive correction and joyfully change my attitude. My motivation is showing my husband the respect and care he deserves. If the words of my mouth can be like dagers, I must take every thought captive as to not throw them at my husband. My effort lies in the fact the he is not cut by my self-righteousness.

As I have been typing this entry I have had to stop three times because my 9 month old is fighting sleep. We were at the park this morning and she missed her nap so she is over tired and having much difficutly relaxing and falling asleep. As her mother I know the best thing for her at this moment in time is sleep, so I must endure some momentary crying to accomplish this goal. Meanwhile, I ask myself "why wont she just relax and fall asleep." This a picture of how the Lord must see me. He knows that what is best for my marriage is correction and joyfully receiving my husbands wants and needs. But I want to fight it, and stand on my opinions and keep my self-righteous attitude. The Lord is only asking me to relax and rest in the knowledge that he knows what is best.

    Party Lite Candle Party!!!

To all of my gal pals out there!
Amber & Melissa Elswick will be having a Party Lite Candle Party on October 1st! We would love for all of our girlfriends to join us for a fun time of fellowship, food and shopping for candles...especially as the holiday seasons approach!

Party Lite is a bit more expensive than other candle companies but they make a great candle - and they burn ALL the way down! I just hate it when you buy a candle and have wax still at the bottom but the wick is all burned out! Ha! It's so exciting to get a creamy caramel or pumpkin candle for Thanksgiving and the cinnamon or pine candle for Christmas! Yummy! The whole house will smell like the holidays! So, mark your calendars and email me if you plan on coming! I will send you more details...

    Weezer Concert

Tony took me out for my birthday last night to dinner at cheese cake factor ,yum, and to a Weezer concert. The concert was great I love Weezer =W=. The set was perfect and they had tons of surprises. All the members show cased their talents by leading and singing a song each. They even brought a random from the audience to play undone-the sweater song. The night was complete by a Weezer signiture a confety cannons. Abby spent the night with her Abuela and grampa they had a good night. Tony and I were home by 11, we are getting old. PS Heather wish you were there, my Weezer buddy.
